Many customers complained about unable to install the driver, view webcam from the camera, and etc. Customers are either stupid or just don't know tech stuffs. Well- there is nothing wrong with the camera for sure but don't bother using the automatic installer to install the drivers from CD.
Okay, several times I have tried to install the driver but didn't worked. Finally, I searched on google and found the website where someone mentioned that we should *MANUALLY* install the driver. *I could not find the website where I found this information. It either at forums.CNET.com or digitalcamera-hq.com. You just have to search for it there. "SVP" or "SVP ....your product name or #"
CD: Digital Camera And Digital Video (Driver & Application Software) for Windows 98/ME, 2000, and XP. I don't know if it works on Vista but someday I will try it.
Open drivers folder via "My Computer" (Windows) from the CD. Open the CD file.. do not click on the CD to launch the installation program.
a) F:\Drivers\XVID:
a1- Click on the XviD Setup file
If doesn't install:
a2- XviD (download the latest version from the official website: http://www.xvid.org/Downloads.15.0.html or XviD 1.1.3 Stable)
b) F:\Drivers\DRIVERS: (Video Camera Drivers Setup)- Click on Win??SetupEn file for English or Cn for Chinese. If XP, then WinXpSetupEn
*NOTICE: If you are unable to open your Camera/Camcorder from your computer, then you can download the Drivers from SVP-Tech website- http://www.svp-tech.com/download.htm. Go look for your camera/camcorder. For HDDV2500/DV2500, use drivers from HDDV-2100/2400 HDDV-2100B HDDV-2100LE.
